Noteful is a mobile app concept designed entirely in Figma, created to solve the core problem most note apps ignore: they try to do everything and end up overwhelming the user who just wants to write something down and find it again. The design reduces the experience to two workflows — freeform notes and shopping lists — unified under a flat, single-surface architecture. Every screen, from onboarding through empty states to editing, was designed at native resolution with auto-layout components ready for direct developer handoff.
Noteful.
A mobile app concept that strips note-taking back to its essence — freeform notes and shopping lists, one tap away, no folders or mode-switching required.
Flat Information Architecture
Eliminated folders, tags, and nested views entirely — notes and lists are immediately visible on open, searchable by content, always one tap from the home screen.
Unified Home Surface
Notes and shopping lists coexist in a single sorted list with no mode-switching. The distinction is visual, not structural, reducing navigation complexity to zero.
Touch-First Interaction Design
Swipe gestures for archive and delete, long-press for multi-select, pull-to-refresh — all mapped to familiar iOS and Android patterns with no custom interactions to learn.
Auto-Layout Component System
Built in Figma with auto-layout and component variants covering all interactive states, enabling direct developer handoff without guesswork on spacing or behavior.
